If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen 1Peter 4:10-11. For in Him we live and move and have our being.”<\/em> Acts 17:28<\/p>\n

Purpose
\nTo spread the \u201cGood News\u201d about Jesus Christ and other significant persons or message through the performing arts. To develop artistic talent in New Hope so that this talent can be used in other areas of life. The vision of the ministry is to raise the level of quality & effectiveness of drama and dance at New Hope in order to extend outside the walls of the church. Activities sponsored by the drama and dance ministry include:<\/p>\n

The Drama Ministry is a ‘teaching’ ministry<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our ministry objectives are through drama:
\n– Teach on topics of the bible.
\n– Address social and economic issues.<\/p>\n

– Discuss and demonstrate subjects that are not often the focus of conversation in school, the pulpit, and at home.<\/p>\n

To teach and build confidence in our youth and adults using the following:<\/strong>
\nLanguage skills
\n\u00b7 Speak on a given topic for an extended period of time in an improvisation or monologue
\n\u00b7 Speak clearly enough (pronunciation, enunciation, intonation, projection) to be understood by audience with or without a microphone (depending on size and setup of venue)
\nEffective factors
\n\u00b7 Develop confidence in their ability to speak effectively in front of an audience
\nCommunicative
\n\u00b7 Acquire good speaking and listening habits to understand, enjoy, and appreciate drama<\/p>\n
